Gamsat is the Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test, which is conducted by The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) on behalf of several consortia of Universities.

Gamsat must be taken in March by candidates interested in being accepted as postgraduates into Australian Medical Schools at Queensland, Griffith, Sydney, Australian National, Wollongong, Melbourne, Monash (Gippsland), Deakin, Flinders, Western Australia and Notre Dame (Sydney and Fremantle) Universities as well as into Dentistry at Sydney and Melbourne, Physiotherapy and Optometry at Melbourne and post-graduate Pharmacy at Sydney. There are venues for the March sitting of Gamsat throughout the world.

The first Australian Gamsat was held in 1995. However, Gamsat Apast papers@ are not available. Approximately 7000 candidates sit for the Australian version of Gamsat in March each year. Subject to Government regulations which may change the allocation of places from time to time, there are of the order of 1570 Graduate Medical Places available to Australian residents and a further 310 places, on a full-fee-paying basis, available to international candidates each year.

It is best to ring soon after 11 pm IE time or about 6 pm (Eastern USA) to 3 pm (Western USA) to reach us during office hours.
